Youth Job Connection is a new youth employment program launching in fall 2015. It was announced in Budget 2015 as a targeted investment by the Ontario government to enhance the skills of youth who experience multiple barriers to employment.
Youth Job Connection is one of a suite of new employment programs being developed as part of Employment and Training Services Integration (ETSI), a key government initiative that is modernizing and transforming Ontario's employment and training programs and services to improve access and provide job seekers and employers with proven, coordinated and targeted services that meet their needs.
The program will serve youth aged 15 to 29 who experience multiple and/or complex barriers to employment by providing more intensive supports beyond traditional job search and placement opportunities. These include:

The program builds on the best practices of the Youth Employment Fund, Ministry of Children and Youth Services’ Jobs for Youth program, other employment programs for young people, as well as feedback from the winter 2015 ETSI stakeholder consultations, of which youth employment programming was a key priority.
