The Seine River Community Care program child welfare and prevention services to the community members of Seine River First Nation. Job Description: Your main responsibilities will be to provide direct services to children who are in temporary  or long-term care of the Agency. The Child in Care Worker provides case management services to ensure the needs of the child are met according to customary care philosophy. On a day-to-day basis, you will be expected to develop and monitor a comprehensive Plan of Care, that sets goals and objectives specific to the child ensuring connection to family and community, and ensuring developmental, educational, recreational, social, religious and cultural needs of the child are met. Working as part of the Community Care team, it is expected that you will build and maintain trusting relationships and advocate for the child. Your work will assist the First Nation in reuniting children and families.

Requirements and Qualifications: You will be a motivated and caring person. You will have completed education programming related to social services or children/family, however candidates without the specific education qualifications and where the position does not require certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered. You will have demonstrated strong skills in time management, organization, communication and interpersonal skills and must be willing to travel, available for some weekend and evening work in cases of emergency.

Salary Range: $42,000 – 50,000 per annum
