Dallan LLP is a partnership between Lac Des Mille Lac First Nation, Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation and Dale Levesque a member of the Fort William First Nation. Dallan LP is a 100% aboriginal owned business that provides industrial yard services which includes a variety of heavy equipment operations, maintenance, and general labour. Dallan LP currently has four separate contracts/operations in Northwestern Ontario. Dallan LP is committed to the needs of its customers while ensuring the Health & Safety of all its employees and Environment compliance.

Schedule: Four on Four Off (Subject to Change as per Operational Needs)
Location: Atikokan Sawmill

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position will ensure compliance of the organization’s health & safety program, environmental management system and all aspects of an efficient and productive operation. This position will manage all personnel and day to day business activities.


  • Responsible for all aspects of the operation during the weekend shifts forĀ ALL Dallan Sites
  • Act as the primary contact person for the customer during the weekend
  • Responsible for weekend staffing issues, i.e., covering shifts created by last minute absences
  • Complete Incident Reports (Safety and Environment) when required
  • Act as First Responder if an employee is injured and ensure emergency protocol is followed.
  • Communicate with the customer in the event of site emergency, fire, or evaluation
  • Remove an employee from risk if deemed unfit for work
  • Delegate assignments to crew members and manage day to day operating requirements.
  • Communicate with employees leaving site and document when required.
  • Complete documentation and reports/audits


  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Previous working experience with heavy equipment, forestry operations and/or an industrial environment is an asset
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Forestry, Operations Management, Heavy Equipment Operation/Maintenance or similar will be considered an asset
  • Any combination of the above

  • Motivated and excellent work ethic
  • Computer Skills (MS Office, e-mail, etc.
  • Must be able to problem solve with ability to multi-task
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Valid G-Driver’s license
