Job 1 – Short Range Planner

Description:
Produce Weekly and Three Month Forecasts for development, production, construction, and ventilation activities.
Produce weekly and 3 month forecasts for development and production activities
Coordinate with underground operations on daily engineering and upcoming operations requirements
Review and audit of data entry into central database
Utilize Amine and Deswik for production planning purposes
Other duties as may be required

Qualifications:
Degree in Mining Engineering or Diploma in Mine Technician/Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution
3-5 years of relevant underground mine planning experience using multiple mining methods
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Deswik, and Microsoft Office suites
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience in driving light vehicle in underground mine

Job 2 – Engineer-in-Training

Description:
Daily Data entry and update of centric database
Conduct weekly ventilation surveys, gas checks, updating ventilation prints, design and provide advice on installation of doors, regulators, auxiliary fans and main mine fans
Assist in ground control instrument installation and collection of geotechnical data as required
Participation in underground development surveys, cavity monitor surveys, and surface surveys
Complete underground development layouts and designs
Complete underground production layouts and designs
Other duties as may be required

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Mining or Geological Engineering from a recognized University
0-2 years of relevant underground mine experience
Good practical understanding of underground mining methods will be an advantage
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suites
Valid G Driver’s license
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job 3 – Production Geologist/Geotechnologist

Description:
Reporting to the Senior Production Geologist or designate, the successful candidates will work a 14 day on/14 day off rotation at the Lac des Iles mine site

Responsibilities:
Mapping and sampling underground and/or open pit development and production headings
Blasthole, drillhole and drill core processing (tracking, logging, sampling)
Data collection and entry, tracking grades and tonnes on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Communicate daily with Engineering, Production and Development personnel
Work with Geological personnel to develop a 3D understanding of the lithological and structural controls on mineralization at the mine
Maintain a safe work environment
Follow company policies and legislative standards
Ability to effectively communicate any hazards or concerns to supervisor
Other tasks as may be assigned by the Chief Geologist

Qualifications:
3 year College, or undergraduate or greater University degree in Geology
Able to perform as a part of the team in a safe and efficient manner
Previous underground experience and logging definition diamond drill core is an asset
Experience with software such as AutoCAD/Amine, Datamine, Fusion/Dhlogger, as well as the Microsoft Office suite of programs. Will train as required
Verbal and written proficiency of the English language
Able to perform manual labour
Valid driver’s license
