JOB DESCRIPTION:

Warehouse Helper (80%) by assisting the manager with warehouse duties as listed below. Must be able to perform heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) to relocate products in warehouse/store as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Warehouse duties
    • Assist with unloading trucks when they come in
    • Stock products in warehouse/organize as needed
    • Clean/wipe down products/shelving as necessary
    • Assist other staff and customers with carrying heavier items to front of store or vehicle
    • Assemble products as requested (example: put together rakes, shovels, bbqs, etc.)
  • HH general duties
    • Greet and verbally communicate with customers
    • Assist customers as needed
    • Answer the phone promptly and take messages
    • Keep the store tidy
    • Work on additional duties and assignments as assigned by management.
    • Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and federal safety legislation. Report any potential hazards and unsafe behaviour to management in order to have the situation corrected.
  • Hours of Work (approx. 20 hrs per week)
    • Monday – estimated hrs (assist with unloading truck – hrs vary – approx. 8 hrs day)
    • Thursday 12:00pm – 4:00pm (set time)
    • Friday 12:00pm – 4:00pm (set time)
    • Saturday 11:00 – 2:00pm (set time)

Wage: 17.20/hour
