JOB DESCRIPTION:
Warehouse Helper (80%) by assisting the manager with warehouse duties as listed below. Must be able to perform heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) to relocate products in warehouse/store as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Warehouse duties
- Assist with unloading trucks when they come in
- Stock products in warehouse/organize as needed
- Clean/wipe down products/shelving as necessary
- Assist other staff and customers with carrying heavier items to front of store or vehicle
- Assemble products as requested (example: put together rakes, shovels, bbqs, etc.)
- HH general duties
- Greet and verbally communicate with customers
- Assist customers as needed
- Answer the phone promptly and take messages
- Keep the store tidy
- Work on additional duties and assignments as assigned by management.
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and federal safety legislation. Report any potential hazards and unsafe behaviour to management in order to have the situation corrected.
- Hours of Work (approx. 20 hrs per week)
- Monday – estimated hrs (assist with unloading truck – hrs vary – approx. 8 hrs day)
- Thursday 12:00pm – 4:00pm (set time)
- Friday 12:00pm – 4:00pm (set time)
- Saturday 11:00 – 2:00pm (set time)
Wage: 17.20/hour
